Free Public Awareness Presentations

The SA Government recently introduced “The South Australian Asbestos Action Plan”. One of the main objectives within this strategic plan is to educate the public, to eradicate both paranoia and complacency in the community by giving people plain, concise and factual information.

The Asbestos Diseases Society of South Australia (adssa) is a Not for Profit organisation whose commitment is to provide counselling, support and information for the Victims of Asbestos Related Diseases and for their Family and Friends.

adssa has Partnered with Carter Corporation Pty Ltd, Asbestos & You Pty Ltd and Asbestos Info, to provide such a service.

Safework SA has provided a grant to this Partnership to fund the provision of Asbestos Awareness services to the public.

Through this Partnership, we have provided many Asbestos Awareness presentations to both suburban and rural communities, with the assistance of local councils, hospitals and community minded organisations.

These public presentations bring You the facts about how Asbestos can affect You, Your family and Your work colleagues and what You can do to manage the Asbestos in Your Home or Workplace safely, whether you work on Asbestos yourself or you use a tradesperson/contractor.
